Baby Face

Happy Friday!

I don't really have much of a post today I guess, I just wanted to share a picture with you.

It took me about 10 shots with a squirmy baby in low light, but I came away with one great image.
Isn't he a doll??!? Of course, I am a bit biased. ;)

Can you believe Christmas is only 12 days away!?! EEEEEEK!! I have so much to do! Are you done with shopping yet? I made my Amazon order yesterday - I certainly hope everything gets here on time. Otherwise our tree really will be bare. We only got a couple of things for each of the boys. I have to clean my house top to bottom, finish up some client proofing and figure out all the things I want to bake for the family that will be visiting.

My favorite part of the holidays, besides the music, is the food. I love baking and cooking. I have kind of unofficially put myself in charge of sweets - I seem to get carried away with them each year.

What is your favorite holiday sweet treat? Care to share a recipe?

Ok, so I guess I did sort of have a post...

Happy Company Girl Coffee!
Until,
D :)

Dawn, I need to email you and I can't find your email address in my address book. I've got something I want to run past you, oh miss photographer extraordinaire..... :)

The babe is so cute and you've captured him beautifully.

I'll share my favorite Christmas Cookie recipe...maybe next week on the blog. The cookie party is planned for next weekend...a major competition for "Best Cookie" creation.

What a cutie - you're a great photographer!

I've got almond flavored spritz cookies in the oven and just turned the kettle on so I can make a mug of chocolate tea. It was wonderful stopping by to see your little one!

of course i like anything with chocolate. I have been making Hello Dollies (some w/ and w/o coconut) the past few years since my Gmom quit. And the girls and I usually make candies-peanut butter balls (w/white and dark choc.), Martha Washingtons, peanut brittle, sometimes I do the divinity, and we HAVE to have no-bake cookies! Uh-I think everything I listed has nuts...sorry! I did make a choc. sour cream cake over the summer that has been requested again-and it's a nice, light change from the usual stuff. Good luck! Let me know if you want any recipes!

What a cutie!!

My favorite cookie is the 'magic layer bar' or whatever it's called - you know, the butter, graham cracker crumbs, chocolate chips, coconut and condensed milk dealie.

Mmmm.

Hi Dawn...thanks for your suggestion abt the plants. I did kick two outside, a christmas cactus that we purchased 2 wks ago(that I wonder if it was the culprit) and another that was sitting beside it,,,,I was hesitant to put them all out because it's below freezing here and I'd lose them all.! But I will if the flies persist...they have cut back quite a bit....PTL!

What a beautiful picture! That is an excellent shot that is worth blowing up and framing forever!

Favorite holiday treat? Just one? Are you sure?
Well, my favorite easy thing to make are called Heath Bar Cookies, and they require about 10 minutes of your time. If you search online for "heath bar cookies saltines" you will find several different recipes for this and it is fantastic! It tastes JUST like toffee bars! And is the easiest thing in the world to make!

Oh your shot was perfect--I bet it is certainly worth the 10 shots and time it took! I love those kinds of photos so much more.

We will finish up our shopping next weekend when Hubby is back in town. Hopefully there will still be gifts left. Thanks for inviting us over.

GREAT SHOT!
You should open a studio.
:-)
This is hard work. Took me about 95 shots to get our Christmas Card photo.
Have a Great Weekend!

Glad you were able to get some presents for the boys. That seems to be heavy on your heart a week or two ago.

Lots to do to get ready for Christmas, but that's half the fun, isn't it?
