Kiss the Flame

I know what you're thinking. Dawn likes her blond hair; she'll never change it. She's a big Chicken!

Well, maybe you are right. I am a big chicken. And for some unknown reason I carry a lot of "who I am" in my hair. I know, it's just hair - it'll grow back; it can be fixed; nothing is ever permanent - I've heard it all before. Besides, my hair is not that great anyway; it can be lifeless, it's fine and thin. But it's my hair and for some reason I really like it.

But it's time for a change.

Say it with me now - Dear Lord, please allow the box of cheap-o hair dye to do it's job properly. And Lord, though I won't ask for you to make me like the color I am about to apply, I do ask that you would use your amazing powers for this frivolous thing and make sure I don't end up with orange or purple hair. Lord, I know you have much bigger and more important things on your plate, but oh boy I don't know if I can take orange hair. Ok, scratch that, I am ashamed I even asked you. I know you won't give me anything I can't handle so I will faithfully trust that whatever is about to happen - well, it will eventually turn out all right. Amen.

Oh mercy! Well, there's not much I can do about it now. What's done is done.

Ok, why does Kiddo keep saying "Mommy Black hairs!"? Black? Does it look black to you????!?

Oh man, oh man, oh man, oh man.....

Ok rinsing it out was an experience in of itself. First off, it was PURPLE, and secondly, I rinsed for ever and the color just kept coming. Holy moly!

But, at least now I can say....

I AIN'T NO CHICKEN! :)

Personally, I think it looks pretty good! What do you think?
