Hail, Hail

So we had some excitement today...
The biggest I saw in my yard was maybe slightly larger than golf ball size, but the news reported baseball size. The way it was coming down, so hard and fast and in all directions,
made us all fear the house was about to cave in. When it really picked up I gathered the kids in the living room.
It was so loud the baby was screaming and the boy was starting to panic. The sound was deafening, and I looked into the kitchen just in time to see something falling. I ran the kids into the bathroom and the three of us along with the dog hung out in there until the storm had passed.
When we came out, I looked up to see this...
Here, let me give you a closer look.
Joy.

Until,
D :(

Well, first of all, I'm glad you're all okay. GOODNESS!

Second... I'm SOOOO sorry about your skylight!!! That actually does beat my hailstorm story where I'd just purchased my very own brand-spankin'-new car all by myself and a month later we had a horrible hailstorm that dimpled the hood, the roof and the spoiler... although, mercifully did NOT break any windows. That bummed me out bad. So I can relate. But a broken skylight? Right now just when the absolute LAST thing you need is another expense? Nope, that takes the cake, sweetie. And I am sorry about that AND the dog poop.

Holy cow!! I can't believe it actually busted the skylight! I'm so sorry. Hopefully your insurance will cover it and you won't have to pay a thing.

My goodness! That stinks about your skylight. I guess we didn't get near the amount of hail that you (and Jen) got.
